Cardamon Pods - Organic
Couldn't load pickup availability
Cardamom is a spice made from the seed pods of various plants in the ginger family. The seeds in the pod are small and black, while the pods can differ in colour and size by type of plant. The entire cardamom pod can be used whole or ground.
Cardamom is often used to spice up cooking and hot drinks, as well as season meat and vegetables.
Cooking with Cardamon Pods
To make ground cardamon, toast the pods in a dry pan for a few minutes, let them cool, remove the seeds from the pods and then grind.
Cardamom adds a tasty twist to mulled wine, hot cider and coffee - just add ½ - 1 teaspoon to your ground coffee and add water.
