White Lasagne - Organic
White Lasagne - Organic
There are hundreds of pasta shapes, each with their own purpose. Short pasta, long pasta, pasta that can be stuffed, pasta for soups - the uses for pasta are endless!
There are some shapes and sizes that are better suited for holding sauces in their ridges, while others are better for baked dishes.
Organic White Lasagne
Lasagne is a wide, flat sheet of pasta that originated in Naples, Italy.
Originally, it was used to describe a pot in which food was being cooked rather than the pasta itself.
Lasagne recipes have been around for ages, dating back to as early as the thirteenth century.
Cooking Lasagne Sheets
Lasagne is essentially stacked layers of pasta alternated with sauces and ingredients such as meats, vegetables and cheese, and sometimes topped with melted grated cheese. It’s one of the ultimate one-pot meals.
Make sure there’s plenty of sauce to cover every square inch. Otherwise, you’ll end up with cracker-crunchy spots and ends. Start with a layer of sauce on the bottom of the dish to keep the whole thing from sticking and layer up from there. The height of your baking dish is the only limit. Bake at 200 degrees C (180 C for fan) for 35 minutes. Enjoy!
