What Are Brazil Nuts?

Brazil nuts are harvested from trees reaching 50m tall and are native to South America.

The nuts are found inside the fruit of the tree and in round pods with a coconut-like shell - there are about 12 - 20 nuts in each pod.

These broken pieces are just as delicious as the whole nuts, they're just broken so we get them cheaper and pass that saving on to you.

Brazil nuts can be eaten raw or blanched. They can be added to different recipes or enjoyed as a snack, with a drizzle of salt. These nuts are very crunchy with a creamy flavour.

Roasted Brazil Nuts

Oven-roasted Brazil nuts are delish. Preheat the oven to 180°c. Place the nuts on a baking sheet and roast for 5 minutes.

Take them out, stir them around and place them back in the oven for another 5 minutes. You can eat them as they are or flavour with salt, herbs or spices.

Brazil nuts make a delicious addition to pad thai, trail mixes, pesto or as a nutritious topping for oatmeal, salads, or brownies.

Brilliant Brazils!

Fabulously crunchy - the crunchiness is rare for brazil pieces, as we have noticed from other suppliers that they can sometimes get soft. They are also better value for money compared to the whole nuts. All in all yet another top quality product, and our go to for our daily dose of selenium.
