What Are Chopped Apricots?
Apricots (also known as Armenian Plums) originated in Central Asia and in their dried form, they became a valued commodity on the Silk Road as they could be transported over long distances.
These delicious dried apricots can be eaten as they are, popped into a pilaf with some flaked almonds and raisins, paired with cheese and crackers… There are so many ways to enjoy them!
Unsulphured Chopped Apricots
When treated with sulfur dioxide, apricots turn a vivid orange. Our apricots are not treated with any funny stuff and are therefore darker in colour and coarser in texture.
Some people are put off by this until they taste the difference. It's fruity, chocolaty, and nutty - just like nature intended!

There is no need to cook these chopped apricots, they're good to eat out of the bag, however, they can be cooked in pilafs, for example, and they are already conveniently prepared for such dishes!
