These Scottish Shony Seaweed Flakes are a unique blend of three seaweeds: sugar kelp, oarweed and dulse. Their combination is described by Paul Hollywood as inexplicably delicious!

Description

Scottish Shony Seaweed Flakes

The deep umami sweet and savoury flavours of sugar kelp and oarweed (another variety of kelp) combine with the rich, smoky and salty taste of dulse to provide a fusion of flavour, a wonderful combination of natural colours and a great source of nutrition.

Mara Seaweed is harvested sustainably from the pure, wild waters around Scotland and Ireland.

The seaweed is picked and processed within 24 hours to lock in flavour, ensure quality and secure maximum nutritional benefits.

How To Cook

How To Use Scottish Shony Seaweed Flakes

Shony seaweed is a delicious and unique seasoning. Sprinkle generously on salads to bring out lighter flavours; use like a dried herb to create a savory rub; or stir Shony through oil as a coating for roasted vegetables.

Great way to add umami and so easy - I just sprinkle it on top of whatever I'm eating, it doesn't overwhelm the other flavours but just enhances the overall dish.
