What Is Pea Mince?

This is the best plant-based mince I've tried. Its ability to absorb flavour and retain a firm texture is amazing. 

It's made from East Anglian yellow peas so it's super high in fibre and protein. 

It is designed to be a replacement for meals that traditionally use mincemeat like bolognese, chilli, tacos, lasagne, cottage pie, curries etc.

As well as being made from a simple, nutritious ingredient this pea mince is bucking the trend for plant-based meat substitutes to be overpacked in single-use plastic and presented like meat in a fridge. 

Not only is this mince supplied in reusable packaging, it also rehydrates to three times its original size!

How To Cook Pea Mince

This mince needs to be rehydrated for 20 minutes at a ratio of 3/1 (boiling liquid/mince) before it is added to sauce.

Doing so will make it three times its original size (so don't worry about the smaller crumbs, they will get bigger!). 

I would recommend rehydrating in stock (our Organic Vegetable Bouillon is perfect) but it can also be done in just water.
